Polenta

Polenta is a traditional Italian dish made from coarsely ground cornmeal. When freshly cooked, it has a soft and creamy texture, with a rich yellow, yolk-like colour and a slightly sweet flavour. It serves as an excellent alternative to pasta, rice, or potatoes, and can also be used as a substitute for breadcrumbs to coat chicken or fish when frying, adding a delightful crunch.
