Ftira is a traditional Maltese ring-shaped, leavened bread, typically filled with a delicious combination of tuna, fresh tomato, onion, capers, olives, and salad. This beloved sandwich embodies the vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean.

Regional Variation:
In Gozo, there is a unique variation of ftira that is served more like a pizza than a sandwich. Gozitan ftira is often presented open-faced with thinly sliced potatoes over the crust, or sometimes folded over like a calzone.

In our version, we are serving the ftira as a sandwich filled with tuna, pickled vegetables, tomato, and mesclun salad, generously drizzled with high-quality olive oil to enhance its flavour.
